November 16th - 23rd 2024
Come and spend a week with me in Mexico immersing yourself in aerial hoop and the art of spin. For six days and seven nights, we will spin, c-shape, and roll our way through a treasure trove of skills and choreography before relaxing by the pool and soaking in the sights and sounds of the Mexican coast line.

- Transport from Puerto Escondido to Sweet Retreat each way

Pre-requisites for attending
The intensive is aimed at advanced/professional students and so there are a couple of pre-requisites required. When filling out the booking form you will be asked for a link to a video displaying the following skills.
Please don’t let the requirement of a video deter you. I am only asking for videos to ensure that no one travels all the way to the retreat only to find the workshop does not benefit them. Even if you’re not sure you can do them all do try throw together a video and send it onto me. The worst case scenario is you may not be able to attend the retreat but if you don’t send a video at all then you definitely wont be able to attend! (The video can be of a performance you feel clearly show’s the prerequisite skills or a custom video)
- Ability to enter the hoop while spinning fast
- Flares (any type)
- Pullover into hip hang from a dead hang under the bar (static or spinning)
- General flexibility: front splits (or close to), pike, pancake, and backbend (bridge with straight arms).
- Ability to hold a meathook on one arm (entry can be two armed)
- A sequence in the hoop that displays a confident, developed understanding of the aerial hoop vocabulary (30 seconds - 1min)

The full price of the retreat in 2023 was $2500 (In a shared dorm) Prices for 2024 are TBC
